WVR - On October 29, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet presented decisions on the appointment of Deputy Director General-level officials within the Ministry.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from various departments of the Ministry, including the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, the Service Department for Diplomatic Corps, the Department of General Economics, the Department of Organization and Personnel, and others.

Deputy Foreign Minister Viet presented the decision to appoint Mr. Chu Duc Dung, who recently concluded his term as Consul General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen, Thailand, as Deputy Director General of the Service Department for Diplomatic Corps.

He also announced the appointment of Mr. To Anh Tuan, formerly Counselor at the Embassy of Vietnam in the United States, as Deputy Director General of the Institute for Strategic Diplomatic Studies at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

Additionally, Deputy Minister Viet appointed Mr. Tran Chi Thanh, who served as Minister Counselor and Deputy Chief of the Embassy of Vietnam in Canada, as Deputy Director General of the Department of General Economics.

Congratulating the newly appointed officials, Deputy Foreign Minister Viet emphasized that these appointments reflect the trust and confidence of the Party Committee, Ministry leadership, and the Ministry’s personnel in the abilities and dedication of the officials.

The Deputy Minister expressed his hope that the newly appointed officials will continue to leverage their strengths and capabilities, work closely with the leadership team to foster unity within their departments, and contribute to the Ministry's key political tasks, ultimately supporting the nation’s diplomatic efforts.

On behalf of the newly appointed officials, Deputy Director General of the Service Department for Diplomatic Corps, Mr. Chu Duc Dung, pledged to fulfill his responsibilities diligently, honoring the trust placed in him by the Ministry’s leadership.
