Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi participates in Asian Diplomatic Delegation's working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia
WVR - On April 17, within the framework of a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi, along with representatives from Asian diplomatic missions in Russia, attended a meeting with the Leader of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, in the capital Kazan.

The meeting took place at the Kazan Kremlin with the participation of Ambassadors, Charge d'Affaires from 10 ASEAN countries, and representatives from the Chinese Embassy.
During the meeting, Mr. Minnikhanov thanked the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for organizing the delegation's visit to Tatarstan, emphasizing that international cooperation is one of the key factors ensuring sustainable development and prosperity for nations and territories.
He affirmed that Tatarstan is ready to maintain open and mutually beneficial relations with interested partners, especially in the fields of economy and humanitarian efforts.

The head of Tatarstan stated that last year, the republic's foreign trade turnover reached USD 14.5 billion, with China being one of the largest trading partners. He also highlighted Tatarstan's priority development areas, including oil refining, petrochemicals, engineering, agriculture, and information technology. Kazan is currently a hub for major international events such as the BRICS Summit 2024, the international economic forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum", the Russia-China cooperation forum "ROSTKI", "TIME: Tatarstan-India", the "Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" forum, the Global Youth Summit, Kazan Digital Week, and many other significant events.
Mr. Minnikhanov emphasized that cooperation with Islamic countries is a very important foreign policy direction for Tatarstan, noting that Kazan has been awarded the title of "Cultural Capital of the Islamic World" this year.
He also extended an invitation to delegates to participate in international forums and events held in Tatarstan in the near future, thereby enhancing economic, investment, scientific-educational, cultural, sports, and tourism connections.
At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi highlighted Tatarstan as one of the most dynamic regions of the Russian Federation, appreciating the potential for connectivity with Tatarstan and expressing a desire to deepen bilateral cooperation. He affirmed Vietnam's interest in establishing twinning relationships with Tatarstan.

Additionally, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi shared the view with the head of Tatarstan that a direct flight route from Vietnam to Kazan would strongly boost tourism cooperation and trade exchanges in the future.
Representatives of the diplomatic delegations also discussed potential cooperation directions with Tatarstan, highlighting the significant opportunities in economic, educational, and cultural exchanges between Asian countries and the republic.
The meeting in Kazan took place in the context of Tatarstan continuing to strengthen regional diplomacy and expand cooperation with Asian countries.
During the visit, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi and representatives from diplomatic missions also visited the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, the Basir Rameev IT-park, the Smart City Innopolis, and several notable cultural and economic facilities of the Republic of Tatarstan.
