For many foreigners, Viet Nam has become their second home. They express their special affection for this S-shaped country in a variety of ways...

The writer and journalist Mandeep Rai, author of The Value Compass, praised unique characteristics of the Vietnamese nation and people.

Through social networking platforms such as Facebook, Youtube and Tiktok, many foreigners are efficiently contributing to the promotion of Viet Nam to international community. The content, method as well as topics are diverse, yet they are all presented in a humorous and honest manner, giving viewers a fascinating impression of the life in Viet Nam.

Will Courageux, a French guy living in Hanoi, is the owner of the Tiktok @willinvietnam channel, which has 1.4 million followers. The video’s main content is Vietnamese cuisine, which includes anything from melon, duck vermicelli to fried spring rolls, fish noodles, snail noodles...

“I want people to know that Viet Nam is a great place to live and that even if someone is simply visiting, the country has a lot to offer”, Will said.

Viet Nam is a very rich country in terms of culture and diversity. Mountains, seas, developed cities, and regions with strong traditional values can all be found in this region. Viet Nam is a country with excellent quality of life with a comfortable standard of living.

On the occasion of Viet Nam's National Day, six foreigners from the blogger group "Western Neighbors" released the music video "West Loves Viet Nam" as a fun gift for their second homeland.

The video has a mix of four Vietnamese songs as well as an engaging discussion about life and people in Viet Nam.

Grateful for a loving Viet Nam

Foreigners living in Viet Nam are also affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many individuals have expressed their gratitude through social media for a warm, affectionate Viet Nam that is willing to help and share with them during difficult times. They choose to come to Viet Nam and stick to the country; Viet Nam is always by their side.

Mr. Wayne Worrell, a British teacher living in Ha Noi, and his friends made a communication project named "Viet Nam We Thank You - Viet Nam Fighting!". It is a thank you to the Vietnamese authorities and medical staff for their selfless efforts on the front lines of the fight against the pandemic, ensuring the safety of everyone, including foreigners living in Viet Nam.

Through the photos, Mr. Wayne Worrell wants to convey the message: “Thank you to all the medical staff, military forces, police and volunteers. Thank you for your sacrifices to keep us safe!”.

“I am really astonished and grateful to receive such a warm and generous present from the Vietnamese government”, Mr. Aaron Steven, British nationality, said after receiving assistance from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Noi city at the program "United against the pandemic" on September 3.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has been a struggle for many people, inclung language teachers who have been hit as hard as I have been. It is terrible not being able to visit home and relatives, but I am fortunate to be able to call Viet Nam my second home and everyone my second family", he added.

Mr. Aaron Steven, a British national receives support from Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Noi as a part of the initiative "United against the pandemic". It aims to help foreigners living, learning, and working in the city who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to InterNation's latest Expat Insider survey in 2021, Viet Nam is among the top 10 countries and territories where expats are happiest when living and working due to its diverse culture, wonderful landscapes, and cuisine...

86% of survey respondents are happy with their jobs, 78% are happy with their work-life balance, and 85% are happy with their living expenses.
