As the press agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the newspaper has developed an ecosystem that includes print editions, non-periodical publications, Vietnamese and English online editions, and various social media platforms. It frequently ranks among the most influential online newspapers, according to the weekly statistics of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
Speaking at the anniversary celebration, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang affirmed that while 35 years may not be the longest journey, the World and Vietnam Report is truly "an inspiring story of the transformation and development of a sectoral research magazine into a newspaper consistently ranked by the Ministry of Information and Communications as one of the five most influential publications nationwide."

The Deputy Minister noted that the newspaper's "continuous innovation" has played a key role in effectively fulfilling the tasks assigned by the Party, the State, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It has made significant contributions to disseminating and promoting the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws on foreign affairs.
Furthermore, the newspaper has provided timely and comprehensive coverage of Vietnam’s economic, political, cultural, and social life, as well as the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnam's overseas representative missions. Its efforts have helped domestic and international audiences gain a deeper understanding of the Party and State’s policies and renovation. Notably, its coverage of foreign affairs achievements has bolstered the nation’s credibility and international reputation.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that in the face of a new era - an era of the nation’s rise - the foreign affairs reporting of the World & Vietnam Report must become even more proactive, determined, and creative to meet the tasks assigned by the Party and the State, as well as the expectations of the people.
