The annual competition drew 550 contestants, aged between 14 and 17 from more than 40 nations worldwide.
The Vietnamese team included 24 students, who won six cups for the team at the competition event, including one championship.
Earlier, Vietnamese students has won four gold, one silver and one bronze medals at the 58th International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) in Brazil, helping the country rank third in the medal tally. Taking place from July 12-23, the 58th IMO has attracted 615 contestants from 112 countries and territories worldwide.
