According to Spokesperson Hang, the two leaders discussed various aspects of bilateral relations during the call, including matters related to reciprocal trade.

Responding to a reporter’s question regarding comments made by US President Donald Trump about tariffs and trade deals with Vietnam, Spokesperson Hang said that General Secretary To Lam appreciated President Trump’s attention to Vietnam and the relationship between the two countries.

She reiterated that official details of the call have already been made public and reported in full by the Vietnamese press.

Currently, negotiating teams from both sides are coordinating closely to concretize the outcomes of the leaders's discussions, the Spokesperson informed.
