The opening of the new flight pathways will see the airline officially operate routes between Vinh and Phu Quoc, along with flights from Hai Phong to Da Lat and Phu Quoc at a frequency of four trips per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Air routes connecting Vinh with Can Tho and Nha Trang, along with flights from Hai Phong to Can Tho and Buon Ma Thuot will be into operation from June 22 at a frequency of three flights per week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Addressing the event, Le Hong Ha, Vietnam Airlines’ Deputy General Director, emphasized that the airline has made major breakthroughs in expanding its domestic flight network in response to the recent national tourism stimulus campaign launched by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

The Vietnam Airlines representative noted that the new routes are expected to boost the status of Vinh and Cat Bi airports, while also contributing to the overall economic and tourism development of both Nghe An province and Hai Phong city, in addition to other localities across the country.

Over the course of two months, the airline has swiftly added 13 more air routes that connect different regions nationwide, increasing the total number of domestic routes to 52.

Most notably, May saw the airline launch five new routes, including those between Ho Chi Minh City and Tuy Hoa, Hai Phong and Nha Trang, Thanh Hoa and Buon Ma Thuot, along with flights from Vinh to Da Lat and Buon Ma Thuot.

The opening of the new routes is part of the airline’s strategy to develop its domestic flight network, therefore helping to promote trade exchanges and tourism activities in the post-coronavirus period.
