At the invitation of President of the Kyrgyz Republic and Chair of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Sadyr Japarov, and as designated by General Secretary and President To Lam, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Thi Anh Xuan will lead a Vietnamese delegation to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Plus Summit (SCO Plus) and conduct bilateral activities in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 1, 2026.
The summit will provide an opportunity for SCO member states, observers and dialogue partners to exchange views on regional and international issues and promote cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Established in 2001, the SCO has grown into a major regional cooperation mechanism, focusing on areas including security, economy, trade, connectivity and people-to-people exchanges.
In recent years, the organization has continued to strengthen its role in regional and international affairs, with an emphasis on building mutual trust, promoting cooperation and respecting diversity.
