The World & Vietnam Report and Nikkei discuss cooperation directions

WVR - On the afternoon of February 23, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Editor-in-Chief of the World & Vietnam Report Nguyen Truong Son had a working session with Mr. Fujiwara Toyoaki, Editor-in-Chief of Editorial Headquarters for Asia, Nikkei Inc.

During the working session, the two Editors-in-Chief shared about the global and regional economic situation, particularly the relationship between Vietnam and Japan.

Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son presented Editor-in-Chief Fujiwara Toyoaki with two publications produced by the World & Vietnam Report, namely the Special edition commemorating 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan: "Reaching New Heights" and the special edition "Fulfilling the Pioneering Role in Building a Comprehensive, Modern, and Strong Diplomacy, Successfully Implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress."

Nikkei, established in 1876, is a media conglomerate primarily engaged in publishing newspapers. Nikkei owns print and online newspapers, television, and magazines (both print and digital), data services, and organizes economic and cultural events. Nikkei has earned a reputation worldwide for providing quality, exclusive information on the Japanese economy, industries, and markets, as well as the Asian region.

Renowned newspapers under the ownership of Nikkei Inc., such as Nikkei, Nikkei Asia, Financial Times, and Deal Street Asia, are favored by politicians, economists, and leading businesses in Japan. Among them, the Nikkei newspaper is highly influential and reputable globally, with a circulation of over three million print copies daily, in both Japanese and English.

The World & Vietnam Report, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is one of Vietnam's leading foreign affairs newspapers. Over its 35-year development, the World & Vietnam Report has print and online editions in Vietnamese and English, along with many special editions. The newspaper has produced numerous publications, including many in-depth articles on Vietnam-Japan relations.

* Toyoaki Fujiwara is a journalist with over three decades of experience in the field, currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief at the Editorial Headquarters for Asia, Nikkei Inc. Since April 2022, he has been leading the team from Bangkok, Thailand, focusing on delivering comprehensive news coverage across the Asian region. His journey with Nikkei Inc. started in April 1993 as a reporter. Prior to his current position, he was the Deputy Editor from October 2014. Fujiwara's educational background is in nuclear engineering, at Kyushu University, Japan.
