The World & Vietnam Report and Korea Times signed MOU on sharing content

The signing ceremony took place virtually on July 13, 2023.
On the Vietnamese side, attending the ceremony were Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang, Editor-in-Chief of the World & Vietnam Report Nguyen Truong Son, representatives of the Department of Press and Information, Department of North-East Asia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and staff of the World and Vietnam Report.
Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Nguyen Vu Tung is also a guest at the event.
The Korea Times side was attended by President and Publisher Oh Young-jin, and senior editors.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, President and Publisher of the Korea Times Oh Young-jin said that the Korea Times established the “Global Media Coalition” to provide readers around the world with objective and accurate news information. Through the network, members pool resources and expertise to offer in-depth coverage of regional and international issues by presenting local viewpoints on various topics.
Mr. Oh Young-jin expressed his hope that, with the signing of the MOU, Korean readers will have more information about Vietnam and open up opportunities for the two media outlets to cooperate in promoting content as well as manpower exchange.
For his part, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son said that “The Korea Times has, for many years, been one of the leading English language media outlets in the region. Therefore, we are proud to become your partner in Viet Nam. The World & Vietnam Report is one of the country’s leading newspapers which covers news on foreign affairs. The newspaper carries its major task of introducing to international readers the image of Viet Nam, a peaceful, friendly, dynamic country”.

Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son expressed his desire that MOU would open a brand new chapter of a close and long-lasting partnership, promoting the exchange each other’s news articles, experience, expertise, etc. With this cooperation, Mr. Son hoped that the information about Vietnam in the Korea Times will be closer to Korean readers and the World and Vietnam Report will participate more in the Asian press network.
Under the MOU, the two newspapers will share with each other content, text, photo, video, and others selected, through mutual consultation, and facilitate visits by members of each party to the countries where the two operate, and promote the expansion of bilateral cooperation to other parties in the respective regions, etc.
