Hi Hoang Van, you have recorded a lot of success at the age of 8, how do you feel?

Looking back on my achievements in the past time, I feel very happy and proud. I can do what I love, bringing joys and prides to my parents, teachers, relatives and those who love me. My big awards such as the runner-up at the Junior Model International 2019 helped me realize my model passion. I have been invited to join fashion shows, model photos and more other events. Thanks to that, I can meet, get acquainted and learn from the aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters, other model kids. I must work harder and harder to follow my dream.

Will being a model and studying at school affect your playtime?

My parents always support me to do whatever I like. However, they also urge me not to neglect to study at my current age. I myself am always aware of that. My mother is always with me when I go to perform, she arranges a schedule for me to ensure schooltime, performance, playing time or family activities. I do well in school and participate in school and local activities where I live. In addition, I still have time to go to parks, to travel or to visit my relatives like other friends. I do feel comfortable.

Do you or your parents/teachers have an influence on your decisions being a model or joining fashion shows?

I have enjoyed modeling since I was a child. I often watched TV programs with model kids doing fashion shows, taking pictures and being very pretty. I really wanted to be like them. I imitated modeling, posing like them and I told my mom about my dream of becoming a model. After that, my mother registered for a modeling class for me. At that time, I felt very happy. After my studies, I was chosen to compete in competitions with kids from many countries and I was very happy to win awards.

Parents and teachers helped and supported your likes and modeling passion. Do you want to say some words?

I would like to express my wholehearted thanks to my parents, teachers for supporting my likes and being with me, even when I was on stage. Some of my friends have the same aspirations as me but their parents disagreed. They wanted their children to do well in school and attended gifted lessons in the subjects, I found them very sad. My parents always understand and support my choice. I feel luckier than my friends.

So what do you have to say to your friends' parents?

I know parents always want to give the best for their children. But children should live up to their childhood, develop naturally, and do what they like. The things parents choose for their children are very good, but not everyone likes them. Sometimes, that makes them sad and also have negative thoughts about their parents. I want parents to listen to their children's sharing, advise and support their children if their wants are not bad.

Thank you so much, Hoang Van. Wish you a happy life, a happy time and more success.
