On June 20, the Michelin Awards revealed the list of Bib Gourmand award restaurants 2024 in two major cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
In the second edition of the Michelin Guide in Vietnam, the Bib Gourmand selection for Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City features a total of 42 establishments - including 18 eateries in Ha Noi (of which, 5 newcomers), and 24 in Ho Chi Minh City (of which, 8 newcomers).
Specifically, in Hanoi, 5 new eateries in 2024 Bib Gourmand are Bún Chả Chan, a small shop that has been operating for more than 10 years, not only serves the signature grilled pork ball on rice vermicelli, but also has other options such as grilled pork belly or minced beef rolled in betel leaves. Luk Lak specializes in serving traditional Vietnamese dishes with its own unique features. Miến lươn Đông Thịnh - a restaurant more than 40 years old with a menu specializing in eel dishes. Mr Bảy Miền Tây - a small restaurant famous for its signature crispy banh xeo pancakes. Phở Khôi Hói - a street restaurant serving beef noodle soup with special beef heel muscle.

In Ho Chi Minh City, 8 new eateries in the Bib Gourmand category include Bánh Xèo 46A – a restaurant of banh xeo pancakes; Bò Kho Gánh – a street food booth, popular with beef stew adding bread, noodles or rice; Bún Bò Huế 14B specializes in serving noodle soup topped with sliced beef, beef tendon and fish fillet; Mặn Mòi (Thu Duc City) – a restaurant of Vietnam regional specialties menu. Nhà Tú – homemade restaurant on Vietnamese food; Tiệm Cơm Thố Chuyên Ký - a Cantonese eatery that offer chicken soup, steamed rice bowl with beef, chicken or Cantonese preserved pork sausage; Vị Quê Kitchen – a restaurant of Vietnamese dishes; Sol Kitchen & Bar - a restaurant serving Latin-American recipes.

According to organizing committee, the full 2024 restaurant selection of the MICHELIN Guide Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang – including MICHELIN Stars and Special Awards - will be unveiled on June 27.
