With ambition and desire to enhance the value of Vietnamese coffee beans and the spirit and responsibility to society, Vuong Thanh Cong Production and Trading Co., Ltd. is determined to change traditional farming thinking to grow organic coffee to produce environmentally high-quality and safe products. At the same time, the company strived to research and develop new coffee products to increase the economic value of this crop, thereby further contributing to the sustainable development goal of Vietnam's coffee industry.

Pioneer in developing safe, quality organic coffee

Vuong Thanh Cong Production & Trading Co., Ltd. was officially established in 2015. During the Company's development process, Mr. Le Van Vuong - Director of the Company, constantly ached and wondered how to create quality coffee products that are safe for public health.

Mr. Le Van Vuong shared that at 12 (1996), he followed his family to leave Thanh Hoa for Dak Lak to do business. At that time, he realized that Dak Lak was fertile, with trees growing well without much care. However, when he began to grow coffee, even though he used fertilizer, the quality of the trees was no longer as good as before. This proves that the land has become degraded and hardened. In addition, water and air sources were also being polluted, and essential foods were increasingly unsafe.

Realizing the disadvantages of inorganic farming, Mr. Vuong and the Company began shifting farming from inorganic to organic. Initially, to build an organic coffee material area, Mr. Vuong made a test in the area of more than 1 hectare of his family's coffee area. At the same time, he actively searched for coffee gardens with good soil conditions, and farmers boldly changed farming methods to link production.

The Company supports farmers in converting coffee gardens from using inorganic fertilizers and pesticides to organic through the Company's sustainable development orientation. In parallel, it guides organic coffee farming from care to harvesting and preliminary processing. When the products meet standards, the Company will pay them higher than conventionally grown coffee.

Until now, Vuong Thanh Cong has linked 13 production households and seven cooperatives with a total area of 700 hectares, of which 65 hectares are produced according to the organic coffee process, and nearly 5 hectares have organic certification, according to TCVN. Thanks to support in fertilizers, science and technology, and product output, farmers' incomes have improved with a more stable life, and the economy has been growing. By doing so, Vuong Thanh Cong Company has significantly contributed to the local social security work. According to Director Le Van Vuong, developing and producing organic coffee contributes to creating high-quality coffee products that do not contain pesticide residues and heavy metals, are suitable for users' health, and make coffee with a flavor different from regular ones.

On the other hand, organic coffee farming also contributes to ensuring growers' and processing producers' health, protecting the environment, and enhancing the value of regional and Vietnamese agricultural products. Vuong Thanh Cong is a pioneer enterprise that grows organic coffee in the Central Highlands. He is one of two enterprises certified to produce organic coffee according to Vietnamese standards.

Spreading the value of Vietnamese coffee in the world

Mr. Le Van Vuong said he felt heartbroken when he saw the increasing domination of big foreign coffee brands in Vietnam. Coffee drinks are in the high-end segment of the country, which ranks second in the world in coffee exports. That motivated him and the Company to build free classes for the coffee business community to gradually dominate the domestic coffee market, as well as the determination to create affordable coffee products - delicious, safe, and reliable quality to raise the value of Vietnamese coffee to the world level.

In 2019, Vuong Thanh Cong Company began organizing many free courses on knowledge of preliminary processing, roasting, mixing, tasting, marketing, and essential certifications on food hygiene and safety,... to contribute to spreading the organic farming process, as well as creating good quality, high-value products from organic coffee beans, contributing to local economic development, contributing to preserving and restoring prices—the value of typical plant species of the Central Highlands. As for Vuong Thanh Cong, with enthusiasm since the start of the business, based on the climate, soil, water sources, and traditions of the Central Highlands people, the Company has begun to create products rustic coffee products - natural roasted coffee line, selected from ripe coffee beans harvested from coffee gardens cultivated according to organic processes, processed and roasted using modern technology roasters, with highly qualified roasting techniques, well-controlled quality of each coffee bean to bring stable quality, attractive aroma, rich taste, mild bitterness, and deep sweet aftertaste.

In addition to roasted and ground coffee lines for machine brewing and filter brewing, Vuong Thanh Cong also invests in and creates products made from coffee, such as cascara tea (made from ripe organic coffee peels), tea coffee flowers, freeze-dried instant coffee, coffee wine, coffee wine, beauty coffee from organic coffee... Among them, coffee pod tea is made from ripe coffee pods and tastes delicious. The product is carefully selected from ripe coffee cherries that are washed, peeled, and dried on a mesh screen until dry and then roasted before use so that the tea is fragrant and has a beautiful color and flavor. For coffee flower tea, the Company has collected fresh flower buds that are still rich in flavor, dried them under the Central Highlands sunlight, and gone through standard processes to bring the most natural, rustic flavor to those who enjoy it.

Another unique product under the Vuong Thanh Cong brand is freeze-dried coffee. This is a 1 in 1 product line, condensed by freeze drying and packaged according to the Company's specifications, ensuring health safety for users. The product's highlight is that you only need to use cold water or warm water from 50 - 60ºC to make a delicious cup of coffee, unlike regular instant coffee, which requires boiling water when brewing.

It can be seen that Vuong Thanh Cong is currently a business with the most diverse products in the coffee industry, with the wealthiest, most diverse, creative, and unique products from coffee that the world has yet to have. Among them, Vuong Thanh Cong's exceptional rustic coffee is a product recognized by the People's Committee of Dak Lak province as a 4-star OCOP at the provincial level in 2020 and awarded a certificate of merit in 2023. In addition, the product also achieved certifications titles, such as Enterprise certification for the development of agriculture and rural farmers in Vietnam, Organic Certificate; ISO 22000:2018 certification; Typical Rural Industrial Products at the National Level 2023, Certificate of Merit from the Organic Agriculture Association, Certificate of Merit from VCCI, Certificate of Merit from the Central Association, Gold Tabletop 4 Coffee Flower Tea...

In the coming time, the Company will continue to promote its strengths and products to become more delicious while upgrading and standardizing designs to launch the Vuong Thanh Cong organic coffee brand - in international markets, contributing to enhancing the value of Vietnamese coffee on the world coffee map.
