The party took place within the framework of the ongoing state visit to China of Party General Secretary and President Lam and his spouse at the invitation of Party General Secretary and President Xi and his spouse.

The two First Ladies exchanged opinions on and shared their thoughts about the unique cultural features of the two countries.

At the tea party, Madam Ngo Phuong Ly expressed her joy at meeting Professor Peng Li Yuan, respectfully conveyed the warm greetings of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's Spouse Ngo Thi Man, to Professor Peng Li Yuan.

Professor Peng Li Yuan warmly welcomed Ngo Phuong Ly to visit China, expressed her joy at meeting Madam Ngo Phuong Ly, and also conveyed warm greetings to Mrs. Ngo Thi Man, the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's Spouse.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the two Spouses discussed the unique cultural features of the two countries. Professor Peng Li Yuan recalled the memories and good impressions of her previous visits to Vietnam; introduced some typical artistic and cultural features of China. Madam Ngo Phuong Ly shared her impression about this unique culture.

On this occasion, they also watched a performance of traditional Chinese arts.
