During the visit, the Ambassador engaged with the group's leadership and toured the modern livestock farm and dairy processing plant located within Baladna's expansive hundreds of hectares campus.

Baladna is regarded as a symbol of Qatar's modern agriculture, playing a pivotal role in ensuring national food security. Initially from a strategic project to meet the fresh milk demand of the Qatari people, Baladna has now evolved into the largest producer and supplier of milk, dairy products, juices, and premium foods in Qatar, equipped with advanced livestock technology and international standard management.

Beyond serving the domestic market, Baladna aims for regional and global stature, with plans to expand investments into several countries, including key projects in Algeria and Syria. The group is currently seen as a prime example of Qatar's successful strategy for diverse and resilient economic development.

During the meeting, Ambassador Nguyen Huy Hiep provided insights into the development of Vietnam's agriculture and food industry, emphasizing agriculture's crucial role in the national economy and Vietnam's position in the global food supply chain.

The Ambassador shared Vietnam's strategic direction in transitioning to high-tech agriculture, sustainable production, and developing large-scale livestock and dairy processing farms to achieve supply autonomy and reduce imports. He also encouraged international cooperation, particularly attracting foreign investment in livestock technology, processing, and logistics.

Both sides had open discussions about the prospects of cooperation in milk production and processing. The Ambassador proposed that Baladna and Vietnamese enterprises explore technology transfer collaborations, implement livestock projects in favorable areas in Vietnam, and organize exchange and internship programs on food technology for experts from both countries.
