Prime Minister meets steering board of military memoirs
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with representatives from the Steering Board responsible for compiling the book ‘Ky uc nguoi linh’ (Memory of Soldiers) in Ha Noi on May 29.

The publication of the book was launched in 2012 by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and the Ministry of Information and Communications to show gratitude to the soldiers who fought and laid down their lives for national independence and freedom. Five volumes of the book have been released nationwide as of 2017 with 2,000 copies of each volume being issued. Two more volumes will be introduced to the public by 2025.

Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Phuc applauded the efforts made by the steering board in the compilation and publication of the book, which helps to educate people on the heroic revolutionary traditions.
The Government leader affirmed that the Party, State, army and people always value and remember the services and contributions of soldiers, war veterans and martyrs to the national liberation and unification, while also paying great attention to caring for them.
He required the relevant ministries, sectors, agencies and local authorities to continue creating the most favourable conditions for the publication of the upcoming volumes of the book.
