President Nguyen Xuan Phuc chairs meeting on project on building socialist rule-of-law state

State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, also head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, chaired a meeting in Ha Noi on June 9 to discuss the building of a project on building and completing a socialist rule-of-law state to 2030 with an orientation toward 2045.

Highlighting the importance of the project to the national development, Phuc recommended it must demonstrate the Party’s views and guidelines over the matter.

The making of its contents should employ scientific methods, has a vision to 2045, to ensure the project catches up with and suits new development trends based on systematic studies of domestic and international situations, the President noted.

He stressed that it is also necessary to reflect late President Ho Chi Minh's thought on a rule-of-law state in Viet Nam, affirming the viewpoint that the State is of the people, by the people, for the people, and under the supervision of the people, respects the people's right to mastery, and protects human rights and citizens' rights.

The President unveiled that later this month, the committee will convene its first meeting to comment on the project building plan.
