The Prime Minister hailed the strong developments in the two nations’ Extensive Strategic Partnership as well as the two nations’ close and effective parliament cooperation in terms of bilateral aspect and international and regional forums.
He expressed his thanks to the support of the Japanese House of Representatives, Mr. Oshima Tadamori, the Viet Nam - Japan Friendship Association and the Japanese people for Viet Nam during its renovation, industrialization, modernization and international integration process.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister proposed the Japanese House of Representatives enhance exchanges and meetings between the two parliaments, especially in terms of law establishment, supporting the Vietnamese Government to continue its Official Development Assistance (ODA) for Viet Nam, focusing on such areas as large-scale infrastructure, human resource, responding to climate change, labor and locality-to-locality exchanges.
He asked to strengthen cooperation with the Vietnamese National Assembly at international and regional forums, including the organization of the Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) in January 2018 as well as advocate the standpoint of ASEAN and Viet Nam on the East Sea.
Mr. Tadamori Oshima confirmed to attach importance to the relationship with Viet Nam and expect to promote Viet Nam - Japan relations comprehensively, agreeing that the enhancement of cooperation and exchanges between the two nations’ committees and young delegates will increase mutual belief and knowledge.
He suggested the two sides closely cooperate to organize activities to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the diplomatic ties.
