PM Phuc highlighted the significance of the event as offering a good opportunity for Vietnamese ministries and agencies to listen to comments and proposals of Japanese investors in order to compose solutions to hindrances in the investment environment and policy making in Viet Nam.

He applauded recommendations on raising localization rate; developing auxiliary industry; promoting infrastructure; expanding retail sales in the 100 million population of Viet Nam.

According to PM Phuc, Japan was the second largest FDI provider in Viet Nam. However, the amount of FDI inflow was not much higher than that of the third provider.

On the basis of agreements, Viet Nam will spare no effort to resolve weaknesses in policies; share strategic benefits with foreign investors; and harmonize interests of the State, investors, and people.
