At the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob pays an official visit to Viet Nam from March 20-21.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the official welcome ceremony for Malaysian Prime Minister Sabri bin Yaakob. This is PM Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob's first visit to Viet Nam since taking office in August 2021.
The visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister takes place in the context of the well-developed traditional friendship and strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Malaysia. The two countries are looking forward to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1973-2023).
The visit aims to further strengthen bilateral relations, enhance the synergy of the two countries in cooperation in the post-Covid-19 period.
This is also an opportunity for the two sides to explore new aspects of bilateral cooperation; discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest; promote trade and investment activities.
After the welcoming ceremony, two leaders held talks to discuss issues of concern and witnessed the signing of documents between the two countries.
Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob will meet with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, according to the schedule.
