No new COVID-19 infections in community for 11 consecutive days

As of 6am on April 27 there was no new infection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Vietnam, marking the 11th day in a row the country has seen no new COVID-19 cases through community infection, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said.

The number of COVID-19 cases in the country remained at 270, with 225 having recovered and no death.

A total of 52,428 people are under quarantine or health monitoring across the country, including 323 at hospitals, 11,311 in other facilities and the remaining at home or accommodations.

The steering committee urges people to continue following epidemic prevention measures.
