Letter to Truong Sa: A gift full of love for island soldiers

Simple and emotional letters and cards from students sent their wishes and deep gratitude to the soldiers in Truong Sa.

Recently, Hanoi's Nghia Tan Primary school Hanoi received a meaningful souvenir from the soldiers of the Truong Sa archipelago, which was the national flag that once flew on the Truong Sa archipelago, affirming the sovereignty of Vietnam on the Truong Sa archipelago. The gift with noble meaning is an encouragement to students to strive to study and follow the previous generation to preserve and protect the Fatherland.

Previously, Nghia Tan Primary School students sent letters and cards of gratitude to the soldiers who are on duty to firmly protect the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

The neat handwriting written on the student's pages, the simple card contains so much affection, love and faith of the children towards the officers and soldiers in the beloved Truong Sa archipelago.

In each letter, with naive language, they want to share with the soldiers who are on duty day and night on remote islands.

When opening neatly written letters and cards, the soldiers on duty on the island could not hide their emotions while reading the letters full of love and gratitude from primary children.

Through the photos, you can see the smiles and sparkling eyes of joy of each soldier when they read through all the cards and letters. The card from Nguyen Thanh Tri, a student of class 2M, wrote: "Yesterday, I read a book about you, and I deeply appreciated your work. Even though you are in a difficult situation, you are still very happy. I wish you all good health and do your best to preserve the islands of Truong Sa and Hoang Sa!".

In the card with the drawing of island soldiers, the 5M class students sent their gratitude and message: "We thank you for protecting the country day and night, so that birds of peace can fly above blue sky. Wishing you all good health and happiness!"

Hoang Kim Ngoc in his card expressed the sympathy for the hardships of the soldiers and sent his wishes: "...I just saw pictures of the sodiers in Truong Sa on TV. It seems very hot there, are you tired? I know you are having a hard time, but I believe that you can overcome it and return safely."

For a long time, letters from the mainland have always been a special gift for soldiers and people on the Truong Sa archipelago. Handwritten letters have been a means of connecting with island soldiers since the days when there was no phone signal.

Today, although communication means are more convenient, information from the mainland is still limited. Letters from students will help people and soldiers better understand their feelings.

This is an extremely meaningful spiritual gift for the island's soldiers, giving them strength to overcome all difficulties and hardships, steadfastly preserving the sacred sea and sky of Vietnam.

The activity of writing letters to the soldiers protecting the Truong Sa archipelago is an activity to express gratitude to those who live and work to protect the territorial integrity of the country, raising awareness for students about sovereignty over the sea and islands.
