The event provided Vietnamese travel firms with the opportunity to introduce their tourism products and work alongside Indian partners in an effort to promote direct flights to Cam Ranh International Airport.

Despite there is no direct flight route between India and Khanh Hoa at present, local tourism businesses have designed attractive travel packages aimed at luring Indian tourists through major Vietnamese cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang.

Nguyen Quang Thang, director of Tictours Travel Company in Khanh Hoa province, said the unit is currently focusing on attracting high-end tourists from India, especially for occasions such as the upcoming Diwali festival in October.

The company has provided a five-star resort programme exclusively for Indian tourists, with an itinerary to visit popular destinations throughout Khanh Hoa province over a four-day period.

Thang emphasised that travel firms have also worked closely alongside partners to launch a Nha Trang - Da Lat tour over five days for Indian tourists, noting that the most important thing is to promote the opening of direct flights between India and Khanh Hoa moving forward.

Aside from tourism promotion activities ongoing in New Delhi, representatives from Khanh Hoa province also met with leaders of Indigo Airlines in Gurgaon city while working with the both government and businesses community of West Bengal state, as well as the Vietnamese Embassy in India.
