"Across the Water" tells the story of a Copenhaghen Jewish family’s escape from the facists in 1943. Based on true events, the film was directed by Nicolo Dorato, whose grandfather was among the courageous Danish fishermen to ferry war refugees to safety.

The Ambassador of Israel, Mr. Nadav Eshcar, shares a message at the event: “The Holocaust is the one occasion in which contempt of this divine and moral decree had reached its inconceivable low. We are gathered here today to remember all those Millions of Human Beings who were led in monstrous efficiency to their deaths, for being different, or more accurately: defined as different.”

The 27 of January is selected by the United Nations to observe Holocaust Remembrance in memory of the victims of Holocaust, a genocide by Nazi and allies that costs the lives of 6 million Jews during the World War 2. The annual Remembrance hopes to help the Vietnamese learn about and sympathize with the victims of Holocaust.
