Local authorities in Da Nang city conducted a rehearsal of elections on May 9 in a simulation scenario that the COVID-19 pandemic is likely to spread far and wide in the community on the official election day (May 23).
The rehearsals has been held in four areas, namely in polling stations, in places of residence for those under a self-isolation order, in concentrated quarantine facilities, including hospitals, and in areas under a social distancing order. |
In polling stations, voters are required to keep a safe distance as part of efforts to curb the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. |
Besides having their body temperatures checked, voters are also required to use hand sanitizer during the voting process. |
