Instead of focusing on the same repetitive topics found in most machine learning books, Huyen Chip takes a comprehensive and holistic approach to designing reliable machine learning systems that can adapt to changing environments and business requirements.
The book's depth and practicality are significantly enhanced through examples and case studies developed with the support of experts.
Its content covers the entire lifecycle of a machine learning system from laying the foundations of a project, deploying and monitoring models, to building computational infrastructure and addressing the human aspects of machine learning.
Each stage is thoroughly analyzed, helping readers not only understand how to do things but also why they should be done that way. For this reason, the book is recommended for anyone who wants to leverage machine learning to solve real-world problems, making it useful for both beginners and experts.
| For many millennials born in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the name Huyen Chip evokes strong impressions. She is known as a young woman who chose to live life on her own terms and was unafraid of venturing far. After years of traveling the world with all its trials and lessons, Huyen Chip grew more mature and gained valuable personal insights. Following her successful effort to win a scholarship to Stanford University, she pursued studies in computer science. At one point, she even hid her past as an author, worried that people would not believe a writer could also be a programmer. But eventually, she realized that her storytelling ability gave her a unique edge: the talent to explain technology in a simple, approachable way, something not every engineer can do. |
