General Secretary, President To Lam arrives in New Delhi, beginning state visit to India
WVR - On the afternoon of May 5 (local time), General Secretary, President To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived at Palam military airport, New Delhi, marking the beginning of a state visit to India at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Welcoming General Secretary, President To Lam and the delegation at the airport were: Minister of State for Home Affairs of India Nityanand Rai; Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Tshering Wangchuk Sherpa; Vietnamese Ambassador to India Nguyen Thanh Hai; Consul General of Vietnam in Mumbai (India) Le Quang Bien, along with numerous Embassy officials, the Vietnamese community, and Vietnamese students in India.
Throughout New Delhi, the Indian Government has displayed portraits of General Secretary, President To Lam with bilingual slogans warmly welcoming him.

At the hotel, a large number of Indian artists warmly welcomed General Secretary, President To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation with traditional dances.
Immediately upon arriving in New Delhi, General Secretary, President To Lam met with India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and engaged with officials, Embassy staff, and the Vietnamese community in India.
The visit coincides with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (2016-2026).
