The exhibition features numerous valuable materials from the State Archives of Sverdlovsk Oblast, the Documentation Center of Social Organizations of the region, and artifacts provided by the Uralmashzavod History Museum and local residents.

A key highlight of the Exhibition is a collection of rare photographs documenting President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Sverdlovsk in July 1955. These photographs offer visitors an authentic insight into a remarkable chapter in the history of Vietnam-Russia relations.

Speaking on the significance of the exhibition, Mr. Alexander Sergeevich Alexandrovich, Deputy Minister of International and Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk Region, emphasized that the exhibition is a meaningful gift from the people of Sverdlovsk to the Vietnamese people on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation (January 30, 1950-2025).

“This exhibition is not only a commemorative event, but also a vivid testament to the friendship between our two nations. We hope that young generations in Vietnam will gain a deeper insight into the years of cooperation, the support provided by the Soviet Union during wartime, and the educational programs for Vietnamese students in Sverdlovsk,” said Mr. Alexander Sergeevich Alexandrovich.

The Soviet Union established diplomatic relations with Vietnam on January 30, 1950. The earliest archival documents in Sverdlovsk related to Vietnam are linked to President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to the region. The Vietnam-Sverdlovsk exhibition draws from these valuable historical records.

The name of the exhibition is derived from official Soviet press publications following President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to the Soviet Union in 1955. Reports from official meetings between Soviet leaders and President Ho Chi Minh at the time stated that negotiations between the two nations in Moscow "demonstrated the unity of views between the Governments of the Soviet Union and the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on international issues as well as in the fields of politics, economy, and culture.”

A particularly significant section of the exhibition is dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Sverdlovsk from July 11-12, 1955.
