Speaking at an event held in Dong Thap Province on October 11, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Huynh Minh Tuan said that in recent years, the release of aquatic species to regenerate fisheries resources has been regularly organised in many localities, attracting the full participation of authorities at all levels, organisations, and individuals.

“This action has made significant contributions to changing awareness, behaviour and responsibility in protecting aquatic resources and realising the Law on Fisheries”, he emphasised.

For his part, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that since 2022, the Ministry has coordinated with An Giang, Dong Thap and Can Tho to release thousands of tonnes of fish into the Hau and Tien rivers, contributing to the regeneration of aquatic resources in the Mekong Delta waters.
