The ICAPP leadership delegation, led by Mr. Chung Eui-yong, Chairman of the ICAPP Standing Committee, and Mr. Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Co-Chairman of the ICAPP Standing Committee, visited Vietnam to attend the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
ICAPP leaders expressed their honour to participate in the significant event – the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. They deeply admired the achievements Vietnam has made under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam in building, defending, and developing the nation.
ICAPP Standing Committee Chairman Chung Eui-yong expressed admiration for Vietnam's recent development achievements, considering them influential successes that serve as inspiration and motivation for the region and the world.
Moved by memories of Vietnam, ICAPP Standing Committee Co-Chairman Mushahid Hussain Sayed shared his experiences of joining the people in supporting Vietnam and opposing war in the past. He expressed deep admiration for President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam's former leaders, such as the late General Vo Nguyen Giap and the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong.
ICAPP leaders highly appreciated Vietnam's strong and comprehensive development across various fields, from economy to culture and society. Vietnam is demonstrating itself as an active and responsible member of the international and regional community.
Regarding Vietnam's future policies and directions, ICAPP leaders were very impressed with the "Four Pillars" and the major goals Vietnam is setting. They expressed deep support and hope that Vietnam will grow even stronger in the new era of development.

The Co-Chairmen highly valued the contributions of the Communist Party of Vietnam as a member of the ICAPP Standing Committee over the past 20 years. They affirmed the excellent cooperative relationship between the two sides and noted that the active and effective participation of the Communist Party of Vietnam has significantly contributed to strengthening peace, security, and development in Asia. They expressed a desire to continue close cooperation with the Communist Party of Vietnam in realizing ICAPP's development vision, including expanding cooperative relations with multilateral political organizations in other regions worldwide.
Welcoming the ICAPP leadership delegation to Vietnam during this significant occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong expressed gratitude for the valuable support of international friends during the country's revolutionary stages. He regarded the visit as a vivid testament to the cooperative and friendly relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and ICAPP.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong highly appreciated the successes ICAPP has achieved as the world's largest multilateral political party forum, contributing substantially to enhancing understanding among political parties in the region. He affirmed ICAPP's effective role as a bridge, facilitating cooperation between governments and parliaments in the region.

During the talks, both sides also discussed global and regional issues of mutual interest. They agreed that ICAPP should continue to enhance its role in promoting dialogue, building trust, and contributing to creating a peaceful, stable, and prosperous environment in the region.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong affirmed Vietnam's steadfast foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation, and development, diversifying and multilateralizing foreign relations. He emphasized building a comprehensive and modern diplomacy based on three pillars: party diplomacy, state diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy.
Regarding party diplomacy, Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasized that ICAPP is one of the priority multilateral political party forums in the foreign relations of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He affirmed that the Communist Party of Vietnam will continue to strengthen close cooperation with the ICAPP Leadership, effectively fulfilling its role as an active and responsible member of the ICAPP Standing Committee.

Regarding future cooperation directions, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong and ICAPP leaders agreed to further promote the unique values and important role of ICAPP as a bridge to foster dialogue and consensus among political forces. They aim to create a political foundation for cooperation and development among governments, parliaments, and peoples of the countries.
Accordingly, both sides agreed to continue enhancing specific measures to strengthen the close cooperative relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and ICAPP in the future.
