Dak Lak: Memorial, burial service for fallen soldiers found in Cambodia
Authorities in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on May 22 held a memorial and burial service for the remains of 27 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who fought and lost their lives in Cambodia in various wartime periods.

With support from the authorities and people of the Cambodian province of Mondulkiri, the Dak Lak Military Command’s Team K51 conducted the search and repatriation of the remains over nearly seven months during the 2023-2024 dry season. Since 2000, the team has repatriated the remains of 719 Vietnamese soldiers who died in Cambodia.
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak People's Committee H’Yim Kdoh said that the Party, State, and people of Vietnam are always proud of and grateful for those who fell for the independence and freedom of the nation and fulfilled their noble international duties.
Following the memorial service, the remains were buried at the provincial martyrs' cemetery.
