The ceremony took place with pride and strong emotions of the 3,742 new graduates of the 59th cohort, whose studies were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic but they still strove to meet the training quality requirements.

In his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung, Director of the Academy of Finance, reminded the graduates that Vietnam is now in a period of deep integration with the global economy, an era marked by the boom of artificial intelligence, blockchain, fintech, and advanced financial technologies.

“Your mission is to become pioneers in building a modern financial system. You will be the ones laying the foundations for digital banking systems, intelligent financial markets, cashless payment systems, and sustainable financial models that serve the socio-economic development of the nation,” Director Nguyen Dao Tung emphasized.

He also stressed the importance of always remembering and cherishing the gratitude owed to parents—those who have protected and sacrificed for their children’s present day. Furthermore, even after graduation, each alumnus should take pride in the 62-year tradition of the academy, an institution that has trained many generations of outstanding leaders over the 80-year history of Vietnam’s financial sector.

Emphasizing the transformations of the digital era, he advised graduates to commit to continuous learning and adaptability. In the age of Industry 4.0, lifelong learning is not optional but a matter of survival. He highlighted the need to constantly update knowledge and hone soft skills such as critical thinking, adaptability, cross-cultural communication, and international teamwork.

“Success cannot be achieved without perseverance and passion. In a world that is constantly changing, only those who never stop learning can lead and create value”, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung said.

In particular, the director urged graduates to always maintain moral integrity and uprightness in all circumstances. In the financial field, trust and credibility are the highest values. Talent must always go hand in hand with integrity.

In the context of global integration, the younger generation needs a global vision and social responsibility to understand world development trends, while keeping a Vietnamese heart to always look toward their homeland. Every project or policy they help develop should aim for a prosperous, fair, and sustainable Vietnam.

“When you achieve success in your careers, remember your responsibility to pass on the flame to future generations of students, contributing to the collective strength of the Academy of Finance community. In doing so, you will build a strong network and radiate a spirit of mutual support”, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung said.

During the training process, most students mastered the academy’s training regulations, student management rules, and scientific research guidelines. They acquired foundational industry knowledge along with in-depth specialization. Many students actively participated in scientific research, union and association activities, and competitions organized by faculties and the academy, achieving numerous outstanding results.

At the end of the program, students had completed the entire curriculum—ranging from 140 to 145 credits depending on the program’s requirements, which were announced at the beginning of the course. The academic and personal achievements of the past four years were reviewed and approved by the Graduation Evaluation Council of the 59th cohort in June 2025.
