Bac Ninh’s new Chairman of People's Committee and new Chairman of People's Council
WVR - At the 19th session of the 19th People's Council of Bac Ninh Province, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang was elected as the Chairwoman of the People's Council of Bac Ninh Province, and Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan was elected as the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province.

On July 31, the 19th People's Council of Bac Ninh Province, for the 2021-2026 term, held its 19th session (special session) to discuss and decide on a number of issues related to personnel work under its authority. In her opening speech, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Bac Ninh Province Tran Thi Hang stated that the People's Council would conduct organizational personnel work according to the decisions of the competent authorities and consider approving the special topics presented by the People's Committee of the province.
After the introduction of the personnel proposal for the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Bac Ninh Province, the deputies of the People's Council of Bac Ninh Province conducted a secret ballot to elect the Chairman of the People's Council of Bac Ninh Province for the 19th term, for 2021-2026 period.
As a result, with 51 out of 51 votes in favor (100% of the deputies present), Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, was elected as the Chairwoman of the People's Council of Bac Ninh Province for the 19th term, 2021-2026.
In her inaugural speech, new Chairwoman of the People's Council of Bac Ninh Province Nguyen Huong Giang, expressed that this position is an honour and a responsibility entrusted to her by the People's Council deputies on behalf of the people and voters of the entire province.
Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang (55 years old) held the position of Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province from November 2019. She has previously held various leadership positions such as Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, Secretary of Gia Bình District Party Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Chairwoman of the People's Council, and Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee.
At the session, the delegates also listened to the proposals and proceeded with the legal procedures to elect the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
As a result, with 51 out of 51 votes in favor (100% of the delegates present), Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, and Acting Permanent Vice Chairman in charge of the Provincial People's Committee, was elected as the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province for the 19th term, 2021-2026 period.

In his acceptance speech, new Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province Vuong Quoc Tuan, expressed his respect for and willingness to learn from his predecessors. He committed to maintaining principles, discipline, and order, and to working with the members of the Provincial People's Committee to build a united and unified collective. He emphasized the importance of a democratic spirit and collective wisdom while highlighting individual responsibility, decisive and creative actions, effective collaboration, and mutual support to best fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee.
After being elected as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee by the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province, presented the proposal to elect Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Tu Son City, to the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Mr. Le Xuan Loi was elected as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee by the Provincial People's Council with an absolute majority of votes.
The new Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province, Vương Quoc Tuan, was born in 1977 in Bac Ninh City, Bac Ninh Province. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and an advanced degree in political theory.
* Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan has worked for many years at the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union. He has held positions such as Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Student Association, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union, and Secretary of the Bac Ninh City Party Committee.
In July 2020, Mr. Tuan was elected as the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province. Since January 2021, he has been an Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, a Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province.
From July 16-29, 2024, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan held the position of Acting Standing Vice Chairman in charge of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province. On July 29, he was elected Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee.
