This marks the first time the AIPA Roadshow is held in Vietnam. The event is part of the comprehensive communication plan of AIPA for the period 2018 - 2025 and the AIPA Strategic Plan 2023 – 2030, organized by the AIPA Secretariat in collaboration with member parliaments to raise youth awareness about ASEAN and AIPA, targeting young people, university students, and notable young faces.

The AIPA Roadshow was first held at universities in Indonesia in December 2023 and will continue to be implemented in other Southeast Asian countries, including Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam in 2025.

Through dialogue, exchange, and sharing activities with young people, the AIPA Roadshow contributes to spreading the message about AIPA's role in promoting regional cooperation based on parliamentary diplomacy, an increasingly important factor in shaping ASEAN's common future. It also helps build a foundation of understanding about the activities of young AIPA parliamentarians, fostering connections among youth in the region.

At the AIPA Roadshow in Vietnam, there were exchange and dialogue sessions between Vietnamese National Assembly delegates, the AIPA Secretariat, the Central Youth Union, and guests including Vietnamese youth and students.

Participants in the program affirmed that organizing the AIPA Roadshow in Vietnam demonstrates the active, proactive, and responsible participation of the Vietnamese National Assembly in general, and young National Assembly delegates in particular, in promoting youth involvement in ASEAN's initiatives and common concerns. It also contributes to enhancing the understanding and awareness of Vietnamese youth about AIPA's activities and the role of young AIPA parliamentarians in parliamentary diplomacy.

After a morning of lively, enthusiastic, and creative discussions, the AIPA Roadshow in Vietnam concluded successfully. The discussion and sharing sessions brought many new ideas, clearly reflecting the spirit of cooperation, friendship, and common aspirations of youth in the ASEAN region.

Vietnam acknowledges and highly appreciates the efforts of the Secretariat in connecting young parliamentarians with youth, creating an open, beneficial, and meaningful forum. The event not only provides an opportunity for the young generation of Vietnam to directly exchange and learn from international friends but also helps affirm the important role of youth in building a united, creative, and sustainably developing ASEAN community.
