About 3,500 Vietnamese evacuated from conflict areas in Ukraine
Vietnamese representative agencies in Ukraine and neighbouring countries have received about 3,500 Vietnamese people who fled from conflict areas in Ukraine.

As of March 7 afternoon, more than 2,200 people had been evacuated to Poland, 830 to Romania, more than 100 to Slovakia, and about 20 to Russia.
The agencies have helped the Vietnamese with relevant procedures and provided them with necessary documents to enter and transit in countries, while coordinating with local authorities and Vietnamese associations in host countries to receive, arrange shelters and means of transportation for them, and provide necessities for them.
On March 7, Vietnam Airlines’ VN88 flight left Ha Noi for Bucharest, Romania, to pick up Vietnamese citizens, which is scheduled to land in Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on March 8 noon.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Romania has supported the people to travel to the airport, while working with the Romanian Foreign Ministry and airport authorities to support them with exit procedures.
Currently, the Foreign Ministry is actively working with relevant ministries, sectors and agencies as well as Bamboo Airways to operate flight QH9066 on March 9 to carry 270 Vietnamese citizens from Warsaw, Poland, to Viet Nam. It is scheduled to land in Noi Bai on March 10 morning.
