Standing Vice President of the Viet Nam-Cambodia Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Van Trieu said that January 7, 1979 has gone down in history as a milestone of pure and faithful international solidarity and the special friendship between Viet Nam and Cambodia, helping bring Cambodia out of genocide and enter a new era of independence, freedom and revival.
Looking back on history, it can be affirmed that the solidarity of the two countries' people is the source of strength and an important factor helping them overcome all obstacles and make the great victory of each country, he said.
