33 works on AO/dioxin victims honoured

The Viet Nam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin (VAVA) on December 27 held an award ceremony to honour 33 outstanding press works on AO/dioxin victims and overcoming consequences of toxic chemicals used in the war in Viet Nam.

It was part of activities marking the 60th year since the US army began to drop tens of millions of extremely toxic chemicals on various areas across Viet Nam.

Nearly 600 entries were submitted to the organising board from January 1 to March 30, 2021, including those compiled by overseas Viet Namese.

Three A prizes were awarded, along with five B, 10 C and 15 consolation prizes.

The award-winning works will be made a book serving as learning material in the future.
