In his remarks, Ambassador Hung said Vietnam's strength and position have been remarkably enhanced after 37 years of Doi Moi (Reform), and briefed the participants on the country’s major orientations to 2030.

He said the Vietnam-Italy relationship has been developing positively across many spheres. He also highlighted the good sentiment of Italians for Vietnam during its past struggle for national independence as well as the present cause of national construction and defence.

According to the ambassador, the workshop is a useful event in promoting the image of Vietnam as a country of peace, stability, dynamic development, rich culture and potential, which shares a lot of similarities with Italy, and as an attractive destination for investment and trade, among Italian friends.

Francesco Maringiò, in charge of external affairs at the ICP, drew the attention of the participants with a speech on the development of socialism in Vietnam under President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology.

Meanwhile, Renato Darsiè spoke of the Italy-Vietnam Friendship Association’s role in strengthening the friendship between the two peoples in his speech.

The Italian participants shared the hope that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnamese people will successfully and effectively achieve their set targets and orientations.
