The Ukrainian side thanked Vietnam for its humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people, and at the same time acknowledged that the Vietnamese side had well organized the evacuation of its citizens during the recent conflict, helping to reduce pressure on Ukrainian agencies.

The Ukrainian officials said that both sides should continue to coordinate closely to deal with the work on citizen protection, and when conditions permit, it is necessary to review and renew a number of cooperation documents to meet the actual situation.

Ambassador Pham Hong Thach spoke of some difficulties and problems faced by Vietnamese evacuees who now want to return to Ukraine to continue their life and business. He requested that relevant Ukrainian agencies coordinate with the Embassy to take flexible and timely support measures for the legitimate aspirations of the community, especially those who have lost residence papers or are waiting for documents to be resolved.

Both sides agreed to work closely to address the problems to ensure the legitimate rights of Vietnamese expatriates in Ukraine.
