Hun Sen affirmed that the Party, State and people of Cambodia will continue to cultivate the good relations with their Vietnamese counterparts on the basis of the valuable legacies of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Emphasising that security and defence cooperation is always a pillar in the two countries' relationship, PM Chinh asserted that Vietnam always supports Cambodia's peaceful, stable and prosperous development and considers it the interest of Vietnam itself.

The two sides reaffirmed the principle of not allowing any hostile force to use one country's territory to sabotage the other; and agreed to proactively coordinate to avoid being passive or surprised in all situations, build a peaceful, stable and sustainable Vietnam-Cambodia border line, manage well and promote the resolution of issues related to land border demarcation and marker planting, and strengthen coordination between law enforcement forces on the ground and at sea, promptly and satisfactorily handling arising problems.

The Vietnamese PM expressed his hope that President Hun Sen will direct the authorities to continue creating conditions for Cambodians of Vietnamese origin, especially in issues related to legal documents.

On this occasion, the two sides agreed to increase exchanges between the young generation of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, and expand participants in a training programme for young leaders in border provinces in the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Development Triangle Area.
