Vietnam, Algeria want to elevate economic cooperation: Ambassador

Vietnam and Algeria will arrange high-level visit exchanges and hold a meeting of the joint commission on bilateral cooperation slated for May in Hanoi.

Both Vietnam and Algeria wish to raise their economic ties to new heights to match their cooperation potential, said Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Vinh after his recent meeting with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

At the April 10 meeting in Algiers, both host and guest shared the view that the two countries should strengthen all-round cooperation in the coming time commensurate with their fine traditional relationship.

The two countries want to elevate economic cooperation on par with political ties, revealed the diplomat.

To this end, he said Vietnam and Algeria will arrange high-level visit exchanges and hold a meeting of the joint commission on bilateral cooperation slated for May in Hanoi.

Vinh, who said farewell to Tebboune, thanked Algeria’s relevant agencies for assistance and support during his working term in the country.
