Vice President of Côte d’Ivoire’s National Assembly visit Quang Ninh

WVR/VNA - On June 16, Vice President of Côte d’Ivoire's National Assembly Diawara Mamadou visited the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh and paid a courtesy call to local authorities.

Acting Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Cao Tuong Huy briefed his guests on Quang Ninh’s socio-economic development and business climate.

Huy said he hopes to see more cooperation and development activities between the province and Côte d’Ivoire in the time to come.

NA Vice President Mamadou expressed his wish to learn from Vietnam’s experiences and foster stronger relations shared between the nations.

He affirmed that after the visit to Vietnam, the delegation will promote Vietnamese people and landscapes to international friends.

Côte d'Ivoire highly values its cooperative ties with Vietnam and wants to secure more joint work in the purchase of agricultural machinery within the countries’ cooperation in agriculture, NA Vice President Mamadou said.

The delegation then toured Ha Long Bay, a popular local travel destination which was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994 and recognised for its outstanding geological and geomorphological value by the World Heritage Committee in 2000.
