UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres hails Vietnam-UN partnership

WVR- On September 20 (New York time), United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres sent a congratulatory message to the Government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Vietnam's accession to the United Nations (September 20, 1977-2022).

In his message, the UN Secretary-General thanked Vietnam for its cooperation and support for the UN's efforts in handling global challenges over the past 45 years.

Vietnam is an important partner of the United Nations and has made many substantial and effective contributions to UN peacekeeping operations, affirmed Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres hailed the partnership between the United Nations and Vietnam and expressed his wish this partnership would be further strengthened in the coming time to promote peace, sustainable development and human rights in the world.
