Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on December 17 sent a message of sympathy to his Japanese counterpart Kishida Fumio over a fire at a clinic in Osaka.

On the same day, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son extended his sympathy to Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa.

Twenty-four people were killed on December 17 after a fire raced through a mental clinic in an eight-story multiple tenant building in Osaka, according to Kyodo News.
