Reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,333 VND/USD on January 16, down 5 VND
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,333 VND/USD on January 16, down 5 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,550 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,116 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates continued seeing a slight decrease.
At 8:27am, both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,189 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,549 VND/USD, dropping 5 VND from January 14 morning.
