The agreement marks a collaborative effort to transfer Laulau’s holistic learning through the arts methods to preschool children in Vietnam. The event was attended by Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Binh, Ambassador of Vietnam to Finland, representatives from FIS Global and Laulau Learning Finland, Laulau Learning UK and various partners within the Vietnam-Finland educational network.

In her address, Ambassador Pham Thi Thanh Binh emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, “It is my great honor and pleasure to welcome you all to the Embassy of Vietnam in Finland today for the signing ceremony between the Finnish International School (FIS) and Laulau. This event should mark a significant step forward in the collaboration between your two institutions and a great gesture in reflecting the the development in the field of education cooperation between Vietnam and Finland.

Early childhood education is more than just a phase in a child’s life. It is the foundation upon which all subsequent learning and development are built. The experiences and lessons learned during these formative years have a profound impact on a child's intellectual, social and emotional growth.

By investing in early childhood education, we are not only fostering individual potential but also contributing to the creation of a more enlightened, capable and compassionate society. I do believe that, in finding and sharing the best education for the children, there could be a great start to shape the future of a child and by extension, the future of the society”.

Laulau’s innovative Song Drawing Method is a standout feature of their educational approach. This multi-sensory activity integrates singing, drawing, movement, and storytelling into a comprehensive and interactive learning process. Children create illustrations based on lively, specially composed songs. The flexibility of the Song Drawing Method supports interdisciplinary learning, offering interactive and inclusive experiences.

The Song Drawing Method encourages creativity, focus, communication, and cooperation among children. It allows them to explore, express, and visualize their emotions, thoughts, and observations in a natural and engaging manner.

Laulau’s art-centered educational philosophy has been successfully implemented in preschools not only in Finland but also in the UK, Estonia, and Singapore. FIS Global is pioneering the research and application of Laulau’s methods in Vietnam.

Mrs. Minna Lappalainen, founder of Laulau, shared her enthusiasm at the signing ceremony.

Minna Lappalainen, founder of Laulau, shared her enthusiasm, saying, “Building bridges between cultures and languages has been near to my heart, and since music is something that is very powerful and also very universal, I have had a strong feeling that I really want to share the Finnish experiences and to spread the power and joy of music, and learning through arts also outside the Finnish borders.

Today we have wonderful collaboration in the UK, in Estonia, in Singapore and now in Vietnam with FIS and as Laulau Vietnam. I am looking forward to seeing the first Vietnamese experiences with Laulau methods and collaborating with Vietnamese teachers to bring Laulau to children in Vietnam".

Mrs. Nguyen Dao Ngoc Anh, founder of FIS Global, speaks at the signing ceremony.

In a heartfelt speech, Nguyen Dao Ngoc Anh, founder of FIS Global, reflected on the journey of establishing the first school in Vietnam six years ago. "I was always concerned about how children could learn effectively while remaining happy. Finnish education, with its foundation of learning through play and individualized attention, provided the solution. Six months ago, I met Minna and discovered the Laulau learning method at a major educational event in Helsinki. I believe Laulau is an essential addition for FIS and Vietnamese children, especially those facing academic pressures. Laulau will be like a refreshing stream, nurturing the joy of childhood while achieving high educational effectiveness by fostering creativity, curiosity, and a natural love for learning in each child. I hope every child at FIS and within the Vietnamese preschool system will benefit from the wonderful advantages that Laulau Learning offers".
