The President said economic, trade and investment cooperation should become a key pillar in the bilateral relations. He called on the two sides to step up win-win cooperation in the fields of their strengths such as the marine economy, navigation, shipbuilding, agriculture, tourism, culture and education.

Welcoming US Ambassador Daniel Kritenbrink, President Quang said Vietnamese agencies are gearing up for US President Donald Trump’s State visit to Vietnam along with his participation in the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week 2017, which is taking place in the central city of Da Nang, from November 4-11.

He said Vietnam highly values the US’s viewpoints in ensuring aviation and navigation freedom, security, and safety in the region, he noted.
