Briefing the Vietnamese expatriates in France about the outcomes of his visit to France, Party General Secretary Trong said that it aims to enhance friendship and bilateral cooperation and deepen the bilateral strategic partnership between the two countries.

The Party chief also informed the Vietnamese community about the nation’s achievements in socio-economic development, which are bringing a facelift to both urban and rural areas. He stressed that Vietnam has enjoyed robust development with extended foreign relations and the country’s position in the international arena has improved.

The Vietnamese People Association in France, established by President Ho Chi Minh a century ago, played a remarkable role in the past struggle for national liberation, he said, expressing his delight at their contributions to the host country and ties between the two nations.

The Party and Government always attach much importance to overseas Vietnamese, including those in France, considering them as an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation, said Party General Secretary Trong.

He asked the Vietnamese Embassy in France, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant authorities to continue supporting the Vietnamese community

The Party leader also requested the embassy to well work as a bridge to accelerate the implementation of agreements reached during his visit, thus bringing positive changes to bilateral relations.
