Vietnam has not received any information on the UK’s financial support for the return of the bodies/ashes of 39 Vietnamese nationals found dead in a refrigerated lorry last month in Essex, the UK, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang.
Responding to reporters’ questions related to the issue, and on the Vietnamese Government’s support measures in this regard, Hang said at a regular press conference of the Foreign Ministry on November 21 that Vietnam’s relevant agencies are actively coordinating with the British side to assist the victims’ families in an humanitarian spirit and in accordance with regulations of international law and the laws and customs of Vietnam and the UK.
The Ministry will release specific information about the work early, she added.
