The Media Press Center (MPC) and the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) built for the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) at the National Convention Center will officially come into operation from May 10 - 23.

In less than a week, SEA Games 31 will be held in Ha Noi and 11 nearby localities, with the attendance of around 10,000 athletes and officials from 11 Southeast Asian countries. The Media Press Center (MPC) and the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC), built for SEA Games 31 in Ha Noi, has been completely renovated. It is expected that about 3,000 domestic and international journalists and reporters will work here. The organizers are equipped with 40 sets of computers with high-speed internet lines, 6-channel interpreter headset system, TV screen system to broadcast live sports... At the TV center, there are a lot of small booths with an area of ​​about 55m2. This area is for domestic and foreign television channels.

In which, there are booths for general control, production, studios, operating rooms, and ones for TV channels from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines.

The organizers arrange the common areas for reporters independently, with separate entrances and exits to ensure safety and security. The e-sports competition at SEA Games 31 including 8 subjects and 10 competitions, will take place from May 13 to May 22, with 379 athletes from 10 Southeast Asian countries. To prepare for these competitions, the National Convention Center arranged 22 auditoriums as competition rooms and other function rooms, of which the largest arena has a capacity of more than 3,000 seats. The total number of staff participating in this regional sports festival is nearly 300 people, along with about 200 volunteers. 100% of employees have received 3 doses of Covid-19 vaccine. Up to now, the preparatory work has been basically completed.
